How to Apply

If your project and organizational purpose fit the APCF Mission Statement the trustees invite you to apply for a grant.

Application Deadlines

There are two grant cycles during the year:

  • April 1st
  • August 1st
  • Applications must be electronically submitted by 5:00p.m. and PRINT COPIES of required materials must also be received in the office by 5:00p.m. the day of the deadline. Please be sure to update your contact information so it is current and delete contacts who are no longer at your organization. If the deadline date occurs on a weekend, the proposals are due on the Friday before the weekend by 5:00 p.m.

    Acknowledgement of Receipt

We will confirm receipt of your proposal by e-mail.

    Decision Notification

Decisions on proposals will be announced within approximately three months after the application deadline.

How Best to Work with the Fund

We invite you to ask questions by e-mailing either:

  • Bethany Kendall, Executive Director at bkendall@apcfund.org

  • Cheryl Gideon, Grants Coordinator at cgideon@apcfund.org

To maintain the consistency, impartiality and fairness of the process, the trustees ask that you do not contact them directly about any aspect of your grant request.

The trustees read each grant proposal and make their decision based on the information provided in the application material. Please be clear and complete in your proposal. If the trustees have questions or require more information, you will be contacted.

Well Leveraged: The Board looks favorably on organizations that can secure funding from multiple sources. In a major capital project, the trustees expect the fundraising process to be well along before receiving a proposal. Challenge grants are sometimes considered by the Trustees to help grant seekers secure funding from other sources.
